My three year old miniature schnauzer, Monte, put the terror in terrier. He would bite, bark, whine and overall was acutely reactive, I was afraid for his future because he means everything to me. We had tried other training that did basically nothing. I am so grateful we found Dynamic Canine Solutions, right away Will gave us tools to help with Monte’s behavior that gave back a sense of control. Monte is still a work in progress but in about two months he does things I never dreamed of, for example walking through a busy park quietly at a heel. He even quietly walks beside Will’s dog which is something I never thought possible for us. Will was recommended to us as an excellent dog trainer by my parents, who recently trained their lab puppy with his guidance. We have a young English lab puppy named Lucy, who needed lots of help with manners, leash walking and some reactivity. Will made the whole experience very enjoyable and fun as we learned how to communicate more clearly and consistently with Lucy and we quickly saw positive results. {For context: My pup, Scout, has been reactive to men and other animals since he was 6months old.  I've had him his entire life, know his breeders personally, and has never been abused.} I've been to several trainers that have told me that my dog won't change and there's no fixing it, just managing it and avoiding the triggers. I'm sure we all know that's not the solution.  I did a lot of independent training with him with the understanding it wouldn't get better. In our sessions with Will I saw Scout at his best and his absolute worst. Will gave me a lot to work on with Scout, strengthening our bond and reinforcing that the problem doesn't just go away when he reacts. In the past Scout had to avoid all people and dogs, 4 months later and he can be outside with other animals and doesn't particularly care. Dogs and other people can be around on our walks and he glances at them and checks with me and keeps going. No barking, lunging, or growling.  I'm currently working on a place command for when guests come over and am working on training his behaviors inside the home. The tools provided in these sessions have helped make Scout and, and myself, more confident and think first instead of reacting. I highly recommend him for training especially with reactive animals, I've already recommended him to family members who have reactive and nonreactive animals as well.  {The video attached was not possible with me present before Will}

I want to share my experience with will around our German shepherd Reno.  I haven’t come across a trainer as passionate and knowledgeable as will.  He is extremely clear with why he is doing what he is doing and very clear with us the owners on how to train after he leaves for the session.  During the training you get to see Will work with your dog but then get to do the training yourself which builds the confidence.  During this training it also really helped me build my relationship with Reno as he was reactive towards our other dog which was my first dog so it was hard to have that relationship.  Will helped me through that and has provided tons of words of encouragement and positivity in his training.  There is such a noticeable difference in Reno and I’m beyond grateful we found Will.  Will is so good my girlfriend Laura stayed behind as I moved for my job because we didn’t want to pull Reno away for the training as he has progressed so much. Will at Dynamic Canine Solutions has been an absolute game changer for my dog and my family. After a recent move, our two older dogs (German Shepherd and German Shorthaired Pointer) began engaging in extreme dog fights that we knew we would not be able to control. It was pretty clear the aggressor was the Shepherd, and we realized pretty quickly that we couldn’t pinpoint exactly what was causing the reaction. We learned just as fast that it’s very hard to find trainers that specialize specifically in Reactivity, let alone trainers that are willing to work with aggressive dogs and aren’t expecting your first born or your kidney in return. That’s where Dynamic comes in. In the past 2 months of working with Will, I have seen a DRAMATIC and UNDENIABLE difference in not only my Shepherd, but also our relationship with our dogs, and the overall home dynamic. We have completed the Mild Reactivity and are about finished with Moderate Reactivity currently. We have learned so much including the language of the leash, how to simplify the overall scope of the task we are teaching the dogs, and how to engage our dog’s critical thinking. Each visit begins with a recap of the week, home training progress reports, and overall behavioral updates. Will has utilized these recaps to tailor training to directly address issues and/or develop next steps to help the dog reach the next level. The overall training approach is direct, simple, and generates immediate results. With my Shepherd, Reno, he struggles with impulsivity control and resource guarding. Will helped us remove an abundance of resources such as toys, and beds from the common areas where the fights were breaking out. He then helped us positively introduce common tools people often use the wrong way, myself included, such as a slip lead, prong collars, place cots, kennels, and more to come that have completely revolutionized the quality of my dogs’ life. What I appreciate most aside from the tailored solutions, is how Will’s goal is to push the dog fast and hard. It shows just how much he really respects the dogs. It’s incredible how well they respond when you give them that respect and room to think critically. Will has a sharp professionalism and the most ethical and versatile approaches I have ever seen in dog training. He’s relatable and makes you feel empowered as a trainer to succeed, while ensuring success for the dog as well. When Reno first met Will, he was an insecure, neurotic ball of anxiety. 2 months later, he is excited every time Will comes, immediately locks in during training, and has become such a confident boy on his walks even with other reactive dogs all around him. After the move we had 3 severe dog fights within 2 weeks, and after training we haven’t had a single dog fight in over 2 months. The work is worth it. The difference is clear. The results are REAL. We are beyond grateful and can’t rave enough about this training experience. Ps. The photo of Reno sleeping was taken just after a full session of learning new behaviors with Will. 😂

My husband and I have two rowdy corgi boys who are not aggressive but are highly reactive to everything! Every time one of us would get home, the boys would great us with 90-100 decibels of incessant barking. They pulled hard down the street on their leashes and our 10 yr old daughter was unable to walk either one of them. They attempted to bolt out of the front door any time it was open. Will’s training has been absolutely instrumental in helping us understand their individual behaviors and helping them become well behaved boys. Will has infinite patience, stays calm, and exerts confidence that the dogs tune into. Our boys now settle down quickly when we get home, heel walk on leashes, and can sit at the front door with it wide open without bolting out! Words can't really express how appreciative I am of Dynamic Canine Solutions. Previously, it felt hopeless trying to walk my dog anywhere outside of the backyard - as she would quickly become anxious and highly reactive when another dog would be anywhere in sight. It took a huge mental toll to walk her anywhere or leave her in the care of others - so I knew I had to make a change. From our initial consult, Will took the time to work with us to understand her needs and what underpinned her reactivity. He helped us build a progressive plan and toolkit to help her become more confident and steadily overcome her reactivity. Today, my dog is unrecognizable - she can now walk everywhere with little to know barking or lunging when she's around other dogs. We started working with Will when our corgi’s, Duncan and Beau, were 1 year old and 9 months old. We had adopted Beau when he was 6 months old and he had no socialization, never been on a leash and had never been anywhere other than the breeders home. He had many different behavioral concerns on walks. He was very reactive to people, dogs and cars and would pull very hard while on leash. Duncan was well mannered on the leash towards others walking by, but would pull and was a terrible listener and very stubborn. Recall was non-existent for both. Jumping and barking at guests that would arrive to our home was also frustrating. After working with Will, both our Corgi’s are better listeners, well behaved on walks and no longer pull and will stay in a heel. Recall has drastically improved. Beau has dominance aggression which has been unfortunate, but after training with Will, we know how to work with it and have tricks to keep his reactivity to other dogs more controlled so that walks are still enjoyable. We also have them trained to place cots, where they stay calm and settled when we need them to be. It was a wonderful experience working with Will. He made sure our whole family was involved and learning to be great dog handlers. He was very patient, thorough, knowledgeable and consistent with his training techniques and it worked wonders for our dogs and family. Thanks Will!!
